Happy Saturday!
My students just finished our 9 week unit on nonfiction text and the kids had the best time with this genre! They had the best time being and author of their classmates biographies and writing about their classmates.
We used this organizational tool to take notes and then used this to write about their friends.

Come by
and read about the process and grab an additional freebie!

Easter Freebies

Where has this term gone? One week to go before I have two weeks off for Easter and I can't wait! When we return to school, Easter will have come and gone so I spent this weekend making up some Easter activities. I've listed two for free on TpT. The first is a colour/color by number activity. Both spellings of color/colour are included.
The second is a remake of my Sprint to 100 freebie that has had over 1000 downloads. It is the same game, but with a rabbit racing theme.
Pop by my blog to pick them up. Also, I'm having a sale at my TpT store, just because I feel like it. Get 20% off for the next few days. Check out my store here

Counting Pirate's Booty

.I noticed that my kiddos are having a hard time counting by  certain numbers - well, especially the 3s - yeesh!  I have this game that I did with my 3rd graders for multiplication. But now I'm using it for my 2nd graders - counting by 2s, 3s, 5s, and 10s....jazzed it up with some fabulous clip art :)
