Number Sense Routines #2

For those of you who missed my previous post, I am reading this book and posting about my new learning :) Hope you enjoy!!

Maybe you feel the same - but for some reason, the counting routines come easier to me. Come on over to my blog to learn more about the counting routines in this book:

For the 35th Time, Ending on a Monday

I have officially lived through 35 "last days of school" as a teacher.  (I'm not doing the math to include my last days of school as a student!)  This year ended up being one of my favorites.  Read on at Elementary Matters to find why, and to get a free copy of Things to Do During the Summer So the TV Doesn't Suck Out Your Brain, written by my students.

I started with the free membership years ago and my students loved it.  I could store my lists and then my students could access to games to practice their spelling words.  Now that I am a Premium Member,  I have access to many more games for my students, progress tracking, record keeping, and list grouping are some of my favorite premium features.  Check out a overview of the Premium list below.  You can click the image to read more:)

If your are 2nd grade teacher that uses Reading Street books you can click the image below to head over and check out my lists that I have stored for the school year:)

Let the Games Begin!

Desk makeover

Another quickie, but cute enough to share.
Our desks at school are u.g.l.y. Painted black metal. Crappy drawer that won't open unless you slightly open the two side drawers. You get the picture.
I try to cute it up with posters or my mrs lamb letter magnets. But it was still ugly
Then pinterest {with its addicting little pins that nag at me until I do it} enters. And wha-la. A desk I can live with!
Here's before

Hop over to my blog to see after and other Pinspirations!
